2012..the end?

Many people think that the end is near because the Mayan calendar runs out.  People are dumb lol  This only means that a cosmic cycle is coming to an end which means a new one is beginning.  Being that western society has become obsessed with linear time (which is illusory), most neglect cyclical time.  An end is finite not absolute, being its just the parent of a new beginning.  Its kind of like a mother dying while giving birth.  The old age is dying to give birth to a new one.  Thus the term New World Order.  As the millennium approached its end, even wise men hundreds of years ago saw the need for a New Order which I’m assuming was spurred by man’s barbarism at the time.  So the New World Order is a great and much needed thing.  My only concern is the “intentions” of those who are running it initially.  The New Order needs to be run by the illuminated.

So I’ve been watchin’ the most F’d up movies of all time…

I was working for inspiration for a project I’m working on called (not telling you lol) I had a curiosity one day and thought “Hmmm let me watch the most disturbing movies of all time” so I googled it. Found several blogs naming their top 10-15 movies of all time. So I started watching them. The 1st I saw was Irreversible.

It stars the chick who played Persephone in the Matrix. Yeah..she’s hot!!  But outside of the violence early on there’s a very realistic disturbing 10 minute long rape scene.  I made the mistake of watching it with my ladyfriend and she started crying.  Yup I’m such a romantic lol  Yeah that was pretty disturbing but overall its a pretty good film.

Next I saw Ken Park.  My homeboy ID from the Hiero camp pointed this one out to me as he has most messed up films I’ve watched lol

Seriously this is the least explicit cover I could find.  The other looked like..well..just watch it yourself.  I embedded a link in the title up above.  Anyway this movie is just wrong in so many ways.  This shit is near porn in some places (as the cover might give away)  But its just all around disturbing.  The characters lives are all twisted in certain ways that I can’t explain without ruining the movie for you.  Just watch it. lol

Next I saw Salo aka 120 Days in Sodom.  The title says it all.  Trust me.

I would just like to start off by saying I will never watch this movie again.   Not that it was just that disturbing to me.  I found it kind of boring actually.  I honestly found myself just numb.  Neither shocked, turned off, or entertained.  Some say this film is a political commentary on Fascism while others say the director was working out repressed fantasies.  Basically the premise is 4 wealthy powerful men in Italy gather up a bunch of young men and women.  Lock them in some type of mansion with them, with  soldiers/guards so they can’t escape or disobey.  Then proceed to perform unspeakable sex acts(if thats what you want to call them) with them for what I guess is 120 days due to the alternate title.  This was originally a story written by the Marquis De Sade and the director chose to set the story in Fascist Italy.  So in a nutshell there’s alot of sodomy, feces eating, and torture going on.  Not watching this one again.  Fascists suck.  I get it.

So that’s all for now.  I have a folder sitting on my PC of a few gigs of other disturbing movies I have yet to watch.  I’ll update afterwards if the movies haven’t driven me mad. LOL

Liquid Limbo

So tour is all about drink tickets and Red Bull.  Its a hell of a limbo to be caught in.  Hyper and buzzed.  LOL  Anyways whats funny is most people think touring is all fun n games.  It isn’t.  Its work.  Usually I just want to go home. It has its moments like any job where you might actually have some fun but it is work.  Drive to city.  Check into Hotel.  Go to Venue for soundcheck.  Eat.  Go back to Hotel.  Try to nap.  Go back to venue.  Wait for all 300 openers to finish while not using all your drink tickets. Drink a Red Bull.  Perform.  Sell merch & sign autographs in between trying to use the last of your drink tickets.  Go to afterparty or go back to room(usually the latter..heads be exhausted).  Wake up and do it all over again.  Sound like fun?  And what’s worse is that if you do go to the afterparty, you getup feeling like crap and still have to do all of the above.  So you’re usually at a disadvantage when you party.  Think about it.

My thoughts on TWITTER

This phenomenon is creepy first of all. I won’t lie I got caught up for like a week and i do see how it can be a good networking tool but..most people don’t use this to network. Its VOYEURISM/EXHIBITONISM gone mad. I think twitter is the first step towards public orgies becoming legal. *Straight face* seriously. Its like “Hey! look what I’m doing everyone!!” Well gotta go twitter!
